So the last day we were in New Mexico it was so cold! and we wanted to go swimming so bad.... well it was only like 65 and it was windy so it was definitely NOT swimming weather. But being from Wyoming we jumped in anyway...

It wasn't too bad the water was about 80! Yes it was warmer in the pool then it was outside!

Ashlyn was having fun! She loves to go swimming!

Well Nick was being a sissy... it took him like 20 min to jump in!

He FINALLY jumped in... and froze :)

We had so much fun with everyone! We were so sad to leave! but we are SO happy to be home even if it is cold here! :) hopefully we can come visit ya'll soon!!!

SWIMMING POOL!

ever since we got to New Mexico, Ashlyn has wanted to get in the pool thats all she says all day (besides "daddy"). she will sit by the window and point and if anyone goes outside she HAS to go with them so she can look at the pool.. so the other day we went out there and stood by the pool WE STILL HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO SWIM! hopefully soon we can!!

Ashlyn loves to sit on the "big girl potty". She has used it like twice so i went to wal mart and got a little seat that fits over the regular seat. Of coarse it has ELMO on it so she wants to sit on the seat EVEN more haha. Hopefully she will be able to start using it soon so we can stop buying diapers!!!!!

So i really think that Valentine's Day is OVER-RATED.... and i told nick when we were dating that i hated flowers because i thought they were a waste of money haha. so anyways i was going to surprise nick this weekend and take him to utah and just go out to eat and then go to a motel and let Ashlyn play in the pool. But when i was planning this Nick kept telling me we need to save money we need to save money blah blah blah haha. so i got up this morning and was getting ready to go to curves and i walk in the kitchen and find this....

So i know everyone is entilted to their own opinion... well this is my opinion... even if you dont like Obama or anything he stands for.. how can you not be proud to witness history being made and proud to be a part of it? I have to admit i didnt like Obama at first but the more i listened to his speeches i realized he is a very sincere person and he will do a GREAT job at leading our counrty and after watching his inauguration speech and watching him and his family i think he is the most amazing person ever! and having Michelle as his wife makes him even more amazing... What a strong lady she is!
(i know probly 90 percent of you that read this blog do not like Obama what so ever but he is our president... so all I ask is that you give him the respect he deserves and be PROUD to be an AMERICAN!)

Kiddie Tag

1: Ashlyn LOVES her DADDY! she would much rather be with her dad, than her mom.

2: She love..love..LOVES elmo!!! she gets SO excited when you put elmo movies on!

3: Her other favorite thing to do is wrestle Lukas. Its kinda funny when she does it but at the same time its mean cuz Lukas doesnt think its funny and she hurts him sometimes, but when he goes to crawl she will push him over and lay on him so he cant get up. :)

i was reading my Aunt's blog and i found this

What's mainly wrong with society today is that too many Dirt Roads have been paved. There's a problem in America today, crime, drugs, education, divorce, delinquency, that would be remedied if we just had more Dirt Roads, because Dirt Roads give character. People that live at the end of Dirt Roads learn early on that life is a bumpy ride. That it can jar you right down to your teeth sometimes, but it's worth it, if at the end is home... a loving spouse, happy kids and a dog. We wouldn't have near the trouble with our educational system if our kids got their exercise walking a Dirt Road with other kids, from whom they learn how to get along. There was less crime in our streets before they were paved. Criminals didn't walk two dusty miles to rob or rape, if they knew they'd be welcomed by 5 barking dogs and a double barrel shotgun. And there were no drive by shootings. Our values were better when our roads were worse! People did not worship their cars more than their kids, and motorists were more courteous, they didn't tailgate by riding the bumper or the guy in front would choke you with dust and bust your windshield with rocks. Dirt Roads taught patience. Dirt Roads were environmentally friendly, you didn't hop in your car for a quart of milk you walked to the barn for your milk. For your mail, you walked to the mail box. What if it rained and the Dirt Road got washed out? That was the best part, then you stayed home and had some family time, roasted marshmallows and popped popcorn and pony rides on Daddy's shoulders... and you learned how to make prettier quilts than anybody. At the end of Dirt Roads, you soon learned that bad words tasted like soap. Most paved roads lead to trouble, Dirt Roads more likely lead to a fishing creek or a swimming hole. sorry everyone i was going to post these pictures with the last post but ashlyn wanted my attention but here is the story of what happened in a nut shell.
we went to the pumpkin patch had a great time as you can see from the last post. we went to dinner then we headed home well we got on the road and i told nick not to hit any animals (oops) so we got to the castle rock exit and we saw a deer ( A BIG DEER) so nick slammed on the breaks and started to swerve we went into the borrow pit cam back up and stopped for a split second and the car flipped to its top! here is what my car looks like now. oh and we had all ten pumpkins in the back of our car. and only one got lost.

PUMPKIN PATCH!

we all went to the pumpkin patch it was so much fun! ashlyn had a blast! we got lost in the corn maze thanks to my brothers wonderful directions. i got into trouble by the "corn cop" he caught me going through a path thats wasnt really a path... OOPS!

i wanted to get some fall pics. of our family i tried but ashlyn doesnt have a very long attention span and she cannot sit still for very long so i tried my best i think this is the best pic. i got.

they had this HUGE slide and of coarse nick and ashlyn had to try it out so i decided to go with them :) it was fun till the end haha

Sorry i haven't posted anything for a while i have been busy busy busy...

Well since the last time i posted there has been alot going on so i will just start posting pictures of everything that has happened...

These are just a few pictures of the Welling Family Reuion we had on August 14-17. We had a great time and Ashlyn LOVED playing on the slides and just bein outdoors.

my next adventure is when we went to swiss days... my mom, my sister, and my moms friend mary, and me all went to swiss days...(its just a craft fair with a bunch of booths) so my mom wanted to by a big clock, and a cabinet. so i took my truck. well we looked all over for a cabinet we didnt find one.. but we did find her a clock BIG clock and then she found a REALLY big magnet board to put her pictures on so all of us are carrying all these things to the truck we get them there safe and sound and we head out... i didnt get very far and the magnet board starts to fly out...well it flew UP so i pull over and we put everything in the back with my mom and mary... well the picture says it all..

this is the most recent one... i call it BEST AUNT and mommy EVER!
my sister and my mom went to pick green beans and so i stayed home and watch the kids.. lukas came over at 7:30 yup thats right 7:30 most of you wont think thats very early but for someone who sleeps in till 10 everyday it pretty early! and for those of you who know lukas he is a morning person and he usually doesnt take very long naps... so he came over at 7:30 and me and him took a nap until 10! i was so excited he slept till 10 :) then after ashlyn got up and i got her ready we all went to park :)yes i took them to the park in my stroller haha lukas fit ibn there BY HIMSELF so they were a little sqwished but we had lots of fun at the park! i shoul start taking them like everyday!

This one will tell you how REDNECK we are :) on friday night we went to the Demolition Derby it was so fun! this was the second one i have been to. it was my sister's first one haha she felt so redneck but i think she had a good time!

This is my most recent "Being Stupid Moment"
i was making a nice dinner (roast, potatoes, carrots, rolls) so i was using this little chopper thing to cut the potatoes cuz i thought it would be so much easier and faster, well that little chopper is REALLY sharp! it chopped the corner of my finger RIGHT off!
